Barbara Harris

Barbara Compton Harris, of Andrews, passed away peacefully in San Angelo on June 25th, 2026.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Andrews Corgill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Andrews West Cemetery.

Barbara was born on October 3rd, 1955, in Andrews, Texas to Alma Maedean Hogeland and Chester Lee Compton. She married Ricky Harris on December 8th, 1972, in Andrews. She was a member of House of Mercy Ministries and had an unwavering love for Jesus. She was beautiful inside and out, had a very giving heart and put others before herself. Some other things she loved were raising her children, spending time with family, baking, gardening, and crafting. Most of all, she loved her cold Diet Dr. Pepper bottles. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Maedean Campbell, Step-Father Alfred Campbell, Father Chester Lee Compton, brothers Ronald and David Compton, and sister Joan Hammack. 

Barbara leaves behind a family who loved her dearly: Husband Ricky Harris, Children Tia Rey and husband Ralph, and Jason Harris and wife Linda, grandchildren Tiffany, Hannah and husband Keegan, Sydney and husband Cody, Rebekah and husband Hesston, Sarah and husband Kross, and Dusty. Great-grandchildren Elijah, Adeline, Sylas, Emori, Bowen, Drew, Hailyn, and Livia all of Andrews, Texas.
