Charles Wayne Whaley, passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on March 16, 1959, in Holton, Kansas, Charles lived a life defined by independence, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys around him. He found peace in nature — camping beneath open skies, hunting in quiet woods, and fishing along calm waters. His passion for the outdoors was matched by his enthusiasm for motors. Whether working on cars, motorcycles, or dirt bikes, Charles enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of fixing what needed fixing, always willing to share his knowledge with anyone eager to learn.
Charles leaves behind his children: Amanda Whaley, Harley Whaley, and Shannon Breithaupt. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lilyan Whaley and Alexander Berry, who remain part of the legacy he leaves behind. In addition, Charles is survived by his sisters: Sharee Whaley, Theresa Whaley Halford, Pamela Whaley Lomax, and Kelley Whaley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn and Robert Whaley.
Those who knew Charles will remember his welcoming smile, his willingness to help, and his ability to turn ordinary moments into lasting memories. Though he has departed, Charles leaves behind a trail of stories, laughter, and inspiration. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
