With great love and deep sorrow, we remember Edwin Norberto Peraza Cuellar, who passed away on August 13, 2026 in Andrews, Texas. Born on May 5, 1974 in El Salvador, Edwin’s journey through life was marked by devotion, selflessness, and a profound commitment to his family.
To those who knew Edwin, his name will forever evoke memories of warmth and enduring support, a steadfast presence that lifted spirits and bound hearts together in the face of all of life’s challenges. His kindness shaped the lives of many; his laughter and wisdom could turn even ordinary days into something meaningful. He cherished the roots of his heritage, and carried with him the lessons and love of his homeland as he sought to build a lasting legacy for those who followed him.
Edwin was a truck driver, a hardworking man whose determination and perseverance reflected his deep sense of responsibility and pride in providing for his loved ones.
Edwin's life was illuminated most brightly in the company of his beloved family. He is deeply mourned by his devoted wife, Rosa Peraza, whose partnership brought him abundant joy and solace throughout the years. His children—Teresa Reyes, Priscilla Peraza, Kathleen Rodriquez, Ryan Peraza, Melissa Gutierrez, and Joel Peraza—meant the world to him. They are a living testament to his unwavering care and guidance, each embodying aspects of their father’s strength, compassion, and humor. Edwin also takes pride in the next generation; his grandchildren—Genesis, Emmanuel, Leslie, Eileen, Kingston, Ezra, Ezekiel, and Uriah—were blessings that filled his later years with happiness and hope.
He is also survived by his loving mother, Zoila Estella Cuellar, who helped shape Edwin’s giving nature, and by his siblings: Walter Alexander Cuellar, Santiago Alberto Cuellar, Maria Eliseth Cuellar, Maritza Yamileth Cuellar, and Ana Wendy Peraza. In their shared moments, stories were passed and bonds were strengthened, creating memories that will endure in their hearts forever. Edwin is preceded in death by his beloved father, Santiago Alberto Peraza Chevez, whose memory remained close to Edwin throughout his life.
For Edwin, life was never just about himself—he gave generously to others, finding fulfillment in the successes and happiness of those around him. He faced each day with humility and gratitude for the opportunities to help others and to love unconditionally. His legacy is reflected not only in the lives of his children and grandchildren, but in the countless simple gestures of goodness he bestowed upon friends and family alike.
Family and friends will gather to honor Edwin’s extraordinary life during a Funeral Service to be held at Monte Sinai Iglesia de Dios Cristo es la Roca, located at 570 SE 1400, Andrews, TX 79714, on August 21, 2026. The service will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 1:30 PM, a time set aside to reflect together on the joy Edwin brought into the world, the kindness he extended to so many, and the example of enduring love he leaves behind.
Edwin Norberto Peraza Cuellar’s memory will continue—carried gently in the stories, laughter, and love of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was an offering: generous, steadfast, and ever-loving.
