It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloria Garza, who left this world on August 19, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on October 5, 1938, in Sanderson, Texas, Gloria touched countless lives during her remarkable 86 years. She embarked on a long and dedicated nursing career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), demonstrating her unwavering commitment to caring for others. Her compassion and skill in nursing were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her and the countless patients she served.

Gloria was not only known for her remarkable career but also for her incredible role as a mother and grandmother. Her proudest accomplishments were her children and her grandchildren, whom she cherished with all her heart. Gloria’s warmth and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on their lives, creating a legacy of kindness and strength that will endure through generations.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband Leonciro, her son Michael Garza, and her daughter Annette Gilliam, both residing in Lubbock, Texas. She also leaves behind her cherished brother, Matt Gutierrez, who resides in Warner Robins, Georgia. The bonds of love and family will forever hold the memories of her laughter and gentle spirit.

Though she has departed from this earth, Gloria is reunited with her parents, Matias G. and Isidra Gutierrez, and her brother, Armando F. Gutierrez, who have welcomed her into their embrace in the afterlife. Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will forever be a source of comfort for those she leaves behind.

In honoring Gloria's life, a series of services will be held at Andrews Corgill Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas. Her family invites everyone to join them in remembering Gloria on August 22, 2025, beginning with a private viewing for family from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by public visitation from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and a Rosary at 7:00 PM. On August 23, the Funeral Service will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, followed by a Graveside Service at Andrews County North Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Gloria’s spirit, filled with love and kindness, will be profoundly missed, yet forever remembered in our hearts. Her legacy will continue to resonate through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
