Laura Adela Garza

Laura Adela Garza, born Laura Adela Flores, passed away on October 3, 2026, in Rankin, Texas, at the age of 81. She was born on October 19, 1944, in Mexico, and will be remembered with deep love for the faith, warmth, and devotion she brought to her family and community.

Laura’s life was rooted in love and service. A Baptist woman of strong faith, she found comfort and purpose in Bible studies and prayer groups. Psalms 91 held special meaning for her, and her favorite music was hymns, which reflected the steady and gentle spirit with which she lived. She was known for enjoying painting and cooking, simple but meaningful expressions of the care and beauty she shared with others. She also had a fondness for pastel colors, a reflection of the softness and grace that marked her life.

Among Laura’s proudest callings were being a pastor’s wife, a mother, and a grandmother. These roles were at the heart of who she was, and she embraced them with dedication and love. Her life touched generations, and her legacy lives on through her daughter, her six grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the love and faith she poured into her family.

Laura was preceded in death by her son, Reymundo J. Garza Jr. Along with the sorrow of her passing, her family also carries the memory of that loss, and the comfort of knowing that love endures beyond this life.

Family and friends are invited to honor Laura’s life on Thursday, October 9, 2026, at Andrews Corgill Funeral Home, 201 NE 1st St, Andrews, TX 79714. Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Andrews County North Cemetery, NW Ave D, Andrews, TX 79714.
