Louie Wayne Bramley, a cherished member of the Andrews community, departed this life on June 12, 2025, at the age of 70, in Andrews, Texas. Born on October 20, 1954, in Grayville, Illinois, Wayne lived a life characterized by dedication to both his profession and his family. He devoted over 40 years of his life to a successful career as a salesman in the oilfield, forging lasting relationships and earning the respect of many in his field.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Wayne was a proud United States Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam era. His military service was a testament to his commitment to his country and his unwavering spirit. Beyond his work and service, Wayne was deeply involved in his community, where he participated with the Permian Basin Honor Flight, helping to honor veterans and their sacrifices.
Wayne was an individual with diverse interests and passions. He found pleasure in fishing, attending car shows, and hunting. Additionally, he enjoyed gambling, trade shows, and traveling. These hobbies enriched his life and provided many joyful experiences that he treasured.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Melody Mercer Bramley; his two sons, Kevin Bramley and his wife, Elayne of Andrews, Texas, and Steven Bramley of Andrews, Texas; his sister, Marie Mason of North Richland Hills, Texas; his brother, Walter Bramley of Andrews, Texas; and his sister, Linda Bramley of Andrews, Texas. Wayne was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren. His legacy will live on through the love and memories shared with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter F. Bramley Sr. and Lois M. Bramley, as well as his sister, Brenda Mae Bridges.
The loss of Wayne will be felt profoundly by his family and friends, who will remember him for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering support.
A Viewing will be held on June 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Andrews Corgill Funeral Home, located at 201 NE 1st St, Andrews, TX 79714. This will be followed by a Funeral Service on June 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at the Andrews Corgill Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will take place on the same day at 11:00 AM at Andrews County Old Cemetery, located at 1401 W Broadway St, Andrews, TX 79714.
