Maria Emale Flores

Maria Emale Flores born on March 17, 1980, in Stanton, Texas, left this world far too soon on July 2, 2026, in Odessa, Texas. Though her time was heartbreakingly brief, Maria’s impact on those who loved her was profound and enduring, a testament to the strength and warmth of her spirit.

A devoted and faithful wife, Maria’s heart beat for her family above all else. She loved and cherished her children and grandson, surrounding them with laughter, encouragement, and the unique brand of affection only she could give. Her husband, Beto Flores, remembers her unwavering support, her unwavering faith, and the deep well of kindness she offered to both family and friend.

Maria’s home was a place of gathering and joy—her love of BBQs bringing everyone together, her sense of humor lighting up even the most ordinary day. She had a knack for making those around her laugh, often poking gentle fun at her father-in-law, Felix Flores, much to the delight of everyone present. If you needed a helping hand, Maria was always there, never hesitating to offer what she could. She took simple joy in the routines of motherhood—buying McDonald’s for her son Malachi and grandson Manolo, rituals that became sources of comfort and smiles.

Maria’s voice will echo in the hearts of those closest to her. Her favorite saying—"Okay, I’m tired of you. Get out of my room and close my door"—is recounted now with laughter and a bittersweet ache, one of many ways she left her unmistakable mark on daily life. And in the quiet moments, her deep Christian faith, her love for her Lord and Savior, gave strength and comfort to her family, sustaining them then and now.

She is mourned and cherished by her husband, Beto Flores; her children, Angelica Grado, Leandra Ramos, Malachi Flores, Alexis Perez, and Alex Martinez; and her beloved grandson, Manolo Flores. Maria’s father, Macario Yharte, sisters Maryann Quintanilla and Rosalinda Yharte, hold her memory close. Her brother, Macario Yharte, Jr., and her extended family—brothers-in-law Abel, Mario, Bernie, and Johnny; sisters-in-law Christina, Michelle, and Liz; her father-in-law, Felix Flores; and her mother-in-law, Cathy Flores—along with numerous nieces and nephews, all remember her with deep affection.

Maria also carried in her heart the memory of those who have gone before her: her mother and brother, Maryelena Yharte and Edward Marroquin, whose spirits she surely carries into eternity.

In the words dear to those left behind: God saw her getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, He put His arms around her and whispered, “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes, we watched her suffer and saw her slowly fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands put to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Though her presence in this world was so brief, the love Maria Emale Flores gave will echo for generations in the hearts of all who were blessed to call her family or friend.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Medical Center Hospital and Home Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
