Mindi Aline Harris

Mindi Aline Harris, of Midland, Texas, was born on September 6, 2000, in Midland, Texas. She passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2026, at the age of 26. Her passing left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though her time with us was far too short, the love, the memories, and joy she shared with others will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Mindi will be remembered as a young woman with a creative spirit and a love for life’s simple joys. She earned her high school diploma through Texas Alternative Home School and worked as a pilot driver for David Allen and others. She enjoyed writing, coloring, cooking new things, dancing, being outdoors, and working. Those who knew her knew the determination in her heart and the way she kept moving forward. One of the achievements closest to her life was that she was getting her life back on track, a truth that speaks to her strength and resolve.

She also carried with her the small favorites and meaningful touches that made her who she was. Her favorite songs were “Moonlight” by Ali Gatie and “Stone” by Alessia Cara. She loved the colors purple, pink, red, and green, and her favorite flower was the lily. Words and convictions mattered to her, including the thought, “I have told you these things,” and the belief that it is better to die fighting for freedom than be a prisoner all the days of your life. These reflections, along with the things she loved, paint the picture of a woman who felt deeply and lived with heart.

Above all, Mindi’s love lived in her family. She is survived by her mother and father, Tammy and Michael Harris; her daughter, Liberty Ann Harris; and her sons, Rylan Timothy Harris and Ryder Lee Harris. She is also survived by her sister, Michelle Harris- boyfriend, Brenham Ligon and her beloved niece and nephew Arabella Ligon and Alexios, who shared a special family bond together. In the lives of those she loved most, Mindi leaves a lasting place that will not be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her granny, Jan C. Nelson; her papa, Jerry L. Gunter; her uncle Bubba aka Michael Nelson; and her grandmother, Edith Aline Moore. Their memories were part of her story, and now they are tenderly held alongside her own.

Mindi Aline Harris will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her warmth, her perseverance, her love for her children and family, and the bright pieces of herself she shared with the world. Her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
