On Monday, September 6, 2021, Pedro Peralta was called home to be with the Lord. Pedro, one of 10 children, was born on April 15, 1955 in Juarez, Mexico, to Salvador & Maria Peralta.
When Pedro was 18 he came to the Andrews, Texas in 1973 to start a foundation for his legacy, his children. Pedro was blessed with two daughters and three sons. To provide for his family he spent many long, grueling hours on the rigs the in oilfield where he finally retired at 65. Pedro had a work ethic that was hard to beat which brought much sweetness to his retirement years where he finally was able to dedicate his time to his favorite things.
Pedro was a social butterfly and had many friends in and surrounding Andrews. He spent a lot of his time BBQing with family and friends. He also spent much of his time fishing for the "big one" that got away, of course only if the Cowboys weren't actively fighting defense on the 100-yard field. You could say he was a die hard Cowboys fan; some might even suggest he was the brand representative for the team. Rarely did you see him without his fan apparel adorning some part of him. He wasn't prejudiced when it came to horror films, he loved them all. Even the cheesy ones! Music was a passion of his. Rock being his favorite genre; Guns & Roses, AC/DC, KISS and even some more refined Beatles. The rhythm to life came in many musical forms to him. Music gave life a purpose and understanding that many don't publicly share; it being an exception. He also was an avid collector of most anything that had the potential to increase its value with age; coins, movies, magazines and newspaper articles about famous people and basically anything that had a huge impact on history. He wanted to hold onto the memorabilia if for nothing else than the nostalgia that was attached to it & to pass something rare onto his children. Whether it be fishing, BBQing, watching football or taking long walks to enjoy the outdoors, there was no doubt that he felt a great sense of pride and contentment when he looked amongst his family. He was happy with his accomplishments, and his children were proud to call him pops!
Pedro is preceded in death by his father Salvador; brothers, Javier, Ruben Peralta & Salvador Jr. and children, Jesus Pedro and Salvador Peralta. He is survived by his mother, Maria Peralta, Brothers, Victor & Fernando Peralta; Sisters, Marilena Martinez, Martha Fuentes, Mary Peralta and Maria Rodriguez; His children, Jennifer, Janet, & Anthony Jacoby Peralta, & 3 grandchildren.
Pedro is a special soul and will be missed dearly by his children, family and many, many friends.
