He is survived by his beloved son, Sergio Hernandez Jr., his daughter, Sabrina Hernandez, and his wife, Patricia Hernandez. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers: Leonardo, Daniel, Faustino, and Eneida Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Petrina Hernandez Ramirez, whose memory and influence will continue to resonate through the lives of those he left behind.

A funeral service to honor Sergio will be held on July 31, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Iglesia Filadelfia Assembly of God in Andrews, Texas. His legacy of love, resilience, and joy will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
